There goes the “Oh, Fat Joe is American-born. His opinion doesn’t count.” argument.
Daddy Yankee has his right to an opinion and no one should question his Latinidad for it. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t strong reasons to object to his endorsement of McCain. Fat Joe actually articulated the two-part problem for Latinos. Republican policy has led us into this housing foreclosure situation, which heavily affects Latinos in the US. Latinos and Blacks are also a large proportion of the military, larger than their percentage in the population, and their communities are heavily affected by war. That includes Puerto Rico. We just can’t afford McCain. That’s it.
SieteNueve lays it out nicely. Also, his flow is incredible. He’s been making his way towards my top spot for favorite rapper recently.
