i hear they cut this out of the wall…im pretty pissed, i just heard about it and never got to see it
when i looked at this on my jenkyassed 15″ circa 1994 compaq monitor at work, all i could see were the feet and coat hem hanging just below the shadow line. it sent chills up my spine. shit.. its alabama, i knew some effigy had been hanged. when i got home, and back to my sweetassed 15″ circa 2003 dell flat screen, i got the full version. it almost–almost–had more impact the first go’round. but that pointy hood goes a loooooong way in the social and political commentary surrounding american history. the fancy suit an shoes are obviously meant to symbolize the wealth and success of bigots entrenched in the american political landscape..and their destiny.
