Tribe
As you may have heard - A Tribe Called Quest will be headlining this summer’s Rock The Bells Tour. Just caught this piece on Hip Hop DX talking about the Reunion album. Word.
Jarobi used to manage The Head-Roc War Machine (Head-Roc, Noyeek and I on the mix) and really taught me alot about the industry, the game and the culture. It was a real privilege to work with him and it makes me really happy to see him and Tribe back together and talking about the future. People LOVE to talk shit about the QUEST and offer their opinions about the future of the tribe to which I say: Are you still tight with your boys from high school?
Now together, there was obvious speculation in the air regarding a reunion album. In the end, even Jarobi admitted there is definitely the possibility of another LP.
“We’re not gonna sit here and say we’re not thinking about it. Of course, we’re thinking about it,” said Jarobi. “But everything has to be lined up in the proper way.”

i love/loved tribes albums (second, third and fourth albums are/were my ish). GIGANTIC influence on the music world. hope they have fun and some success, but i sure as hell ain’t looking forward to any new album. it’s gonna suck. you remember the love movement? and for the record, i am still tight with my high school boys.
