Robert Micheal Reed, the founder of the pioneering DC Go-Go band Trouble Funk, passed away last night. Our condolences to his family, friends and bandmates.
On a personal note, I reference the lyrics of “Drop the Bomb” on the chorus of “This is DC” – so I want to give a shout out to Trouble Funk for all they’ve done for this city and spreading DC music worldwide. PEACE. RESPECT.
