So I’m laid up over at my sister’s crib recovering from the wisdom teeth removal and watched Wild Style while drooling on the couch. I had not seen it in a few years, and it is one of those films that really provides an authentic hip hop inspiration. If you have not seen it yet - stop sleeping! Even my 15 week old neice peeped some of it yesterday…

Directed by Charlie Ahern, the film features a who’s who of the original NYC hip hop scene: Lady Pink, Lee Quinones, Busy Bee Starski, Zephyr, DJ AJ, Grandmaster Flash, Fab5Freddy, Crazy Legs, Ramelzee, Double Trouble, and the late Frosty Freeze (plus many more)
