New mix - DJ Spooky: Ghost World
To those who know his work, Spooky is either a musical genius or a complete hack who can barely DJ. Polemic debates aside, I’m feeling his new mix Ghost World.
From DJSpooky.com - The “Ghost World” mix is all about the multiple rhythms [...]

Sean Taylor - RIP
Sean Taylor’s death is a hard blow to a city of fans here in DC. With so many people already impacted by the senseless violence of the city, to lose one of the home team’s own is a tough break. Condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Taylor.

Turn up the heat on Target
For the third year in a row, Target has refused to participate in the NAACP’s annual survey on the state of diversity in corporate America, making them the largest retailer to refuse to answer questions about their company’s diversity practices.
Last week, thousands of NAACP supporters like you helped send a clear message to Target that [...]

Don’t tase me bro!
Three men died last weekend (Nov 16-18 2007) after being zapped by Tasers during confrontations with police. 2 black, 1 Latino, 3 dead - Non Lethal policing at its finest.
Local communities need to have input to determine, monitor and evaulate the so-called non lethal methods used by local police - not the Taser industry.

As Chief Financial Officer for the DC Government, Natwar M. Gandhi has taken the credit for restoring the city’s financial credibility. As CFO, he also needs to take responsibility (by resigning) for the massive tax fraud ($20 million and counting) perpetrated under his stewardship at the office of Tax and Revenue by two mid-level managers.
Now, [...]
